The peaceful transition of humour

This cycle’s transition of humour began last week when satirical publication the Onion bought the right wing conspiracy conglomerate Infowars. Infowars will become a parody of itself while John Stewart’s Daily Show will slowly transition to a serious conspiracy show, selling health supplements. Infowars founder Alex Jones and John Stewart will try to spend the next few months showing each other the ropes. The seriously funny transition is expected to be complete by the new year.
When asked how they felt about the whole situation, neither Stewart nor Jones really knew what to expect:
Stewart: It’s a bit like learning to ride a bicycle with your hands back to front.
Jones: You just have to re-learn when to shout and when to laugh.
Podcaster, extreme mole and right wing communist comedy club owner Joe Rogan enthusiastically commented, somewhat out of context [1:43:29]:
"This is peak woke. This is absolute peak woke insanity."
According to "sources", he apparently went on to say
"Finally my evil plan is fully realised. We are going to have so much fucking fun."
Before riding off doing a wheely on his BMX, spinning the front wheel in 180 degree increments shouting:
"Serious... funny... serious... funny. Hahahaha ... aaaaaaarrrrggh I’m a red blooded man! ... Now I’m a giggling trans woman."
Everyone else’s brain, in his comedy club’s green room, promptly fell out of their heads, but it was fine because John Stewart, the designated driver, had been prepping for the transition for months and was wearing a rubber swimming hat just in case a brain related situation should occur. He was able to drive everyone home, giving everyone an emergency swimming hat and some Alcaseltzer.
It all ended happily ever after, though everyone had a bit of a hangover. The end.
Newsletter writer Mark Smith was interviewed for this piece, but declined to comment, shouting "fake news...fake news" before hanging up the phone.
He then rang us back and said he could not guarantie any of the logic in this post checks out exactly or indeed at all, and told us to subscribe to the newsletter, which he assured us doesn’t have surrealist crazy jokes all that often, it’s mostly tech, javascript, webdev, and a tiny segment pleading for a donation so he can buy a new laptop, and get back to doing normie web development.
He added, "please world don’t punish me for this post, I just want to get back to some form of normality". #>
