2024/12/31 #

I woke up this morning with a completely blocked nose which is a bit unusual. The security guards, actually it’s only one of them, has been doing his new thing of sweeping everywhere which makes it really dusty, so that’s not helping much either. I’m feeling quite sneezy now, sinuses are sensitive and enflamed. Yesterday evening was mostly quiet, people seemed to generally be in a moderately good mood. Let’s hope that continues.

Might get some more done on the RSS feeds refactor today.

In case I don’t get the chance later, best wishes to all for the new year’s celebrations and for 2025 :) #

Happy New Year 2025!

What a year it’s been.

In some ways it feels like enormous progress everywhere. AI is getting embeded in everything, humanoid robots are on the horizon, self driving cars are here, bitcoin & crypto are becoming mainstream, we are solving biological problems at a cellular level, we are creating chem-computers as well as quantum computers, space travel is in the early stages of becoming a consumer industry and there’s talk of humans becoming a multi-planetary species, and that’s just to mention a few things. I can hardly believe that last sentence is real, but it’s all real and it’s all happening.

Then again it’s not all plain sailing. There are crazy conspiracy theories everywhere, fake news and misinformation, wars seem to be breaking out all over the place, poverty is still a huge problem in most of the world, same with hunger, there are trade wars, worrying geopolitics, and UFOs are making a come back, and people that think we are all in a giant simulation, and we have regulations and institutions that can’t keep up with all the change, there’s censorship happening in many places, and memeplexes will get you in your sleep. WTF.

But it’s a great time to be alive. Can you imagine how fucking boring and dull it would have been to live only a hundred years ago? Shit even the 1980s were quite tedious at times. There's so much potential for great things hidding behind everything these days.

This is funworld.

Even if it’s sometimes it’s a bit of a slog.

Okay I’m going to land this little post before I get carried away on a river of chaos. This is the 200th blog post for me this year. I’m kind of happy about that.

It’s not a zero sum game. It’s a game of infinite possibilities. Let’s help each other on our journeys with empathy, kindness, compassion and all the other nice things.

Thanks for reading. I wish you all the best for 2025. #
