Meta AI researchers unveil I-JEPA, a computer vision model that learns more like humans do - I'm not by any means very well versed in all things AI, but this sounds like a big step forward. These new models create an internal model of the world and compare abstract representations of the data instead of the actual data. That sounds more similar to how humans learn to me.
