That worry has mostly disapeared, as calculations were innacurate, often taken out of context, and applications that work synergisticly with power generation have been developed. It could be similar for AI, certainly it's worth considering that AI has the potential to massively speed up progress in scientific research in many sectors. Decades could be saved.
