There's a lot of talk currently about inequality and wealth tax. It seems to me these discussions are constantly missing the real issues. On the surafe it seems like they are the issue because they exploit our emotions. Of course it seems incredibly unfair that some people have l9ts while others have not a lot.
But that's just a surface level way of looking at it. Reality is more complex, and actually it's not correct that inequality is always bad. The reality is that it depends on what you are trying to do. There are situations where inequality might actually be better for everyone.
Lets say you are in a moment where you need to make huge unimaginable leaps forward in society, things that would cost unimaginable amounts of money. What's important is not the inequality it's what the wealthy are doing with their extra money. With inequality you only need to convince a few people to invest in the important unimaginably expensive thing. If the wealth was more evenly distributed it would be much more difficult to put it all into the new important thing, especially if the mood of the country is not one of investing in things.
Of course you don't want people with not much wealth to be going hungry, but technically that is a different issue.
Whether you want inequality of not depends on the situation. Whats more important is knowing what you want, having a clear vision, and an effective plan to get there.
