The next wave of software

I think over the next few months we are going to start seeing a massive wave of new software releases. It's been a good number of months now that AI agents have been of a high enough quality that many software developers are using them extensively. While so far we have mostly seen vibe coded, interesting, but nevertheless hobby projects, what we are going to start seeing is devs who have been working on much larger projects start to release things.

I'm talking about software projects that would have previously taken large teams months or even years of effort. That can now be achieved by solo developers over a few focussed months. It's going to be really interesting to see as these projects start to surface. I might be one of such devs :)

There's a real potential for very niche products to start emerging. Great time to to be a developer and / or a tech enthusiast.

Now that I have the core of my publishing CLI and server working (I use it for all my posts), and the onboarding flow is close to being finished, the next thing is to put together a basic web frontend. At first it will be quite minimal, but it will be a basis to build on. It's actually kind of cool that it works without a web frontend, but of course having one will open up lots of new possibilities. #
